KALAMATA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Kalamata Airport is situated to the west of Kalamata town, close to Messini, 40 kms. from Amelie’s House.

From the UK
From April to November British Airways, easyJet, Jet2 and Ryanair fly into Kalamata International Airport from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted Airports.

From other European countries  
Flights into Kalamata operate from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Israel and Scandinavia.

Onwards by car:
Car hire available from Kalamata Airport (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, etc.).

Onwards by bus:
Local KTEL Bus from Kalamata Bus Station to Koroni stops on the main road just outside the Airport and will take you to the centre of Charakopio.  Bus times on request.

Onwards by taxi:
Taxis at the airport, approximate cost:  euros 50.00.

ATHENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

AthensAirport is 300 km from Amelie’s House. 

All major airlines fly into Athens, please check airline schedules for suitable flights.

Onwards by car:
Car hire available from the airport (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, etc.)

Onwards by bus:
The X93 Airport Express Shuttle Bus will take you from Athens Airport to Kifissos Bus Station for the onward connection to Kalamata.  Cost -  euros 6.00.

KTEL buses have a comprehensive timetable (12 buses a day) from Kiffisos Bus Station into Kalamata Bus Station.

Journey time for express buses is 2 hours 45 minutes

Non express buses take a little longer with a stop in Tripoli.

Cost - euros 23.00.

Ferry

Sailings from the Italian ports of Venice, Ancona and Bari to Patras provide an excellent service. Patras is approximately 300 kms. from Amelie’s House.
